Paul G. Casciaro

Paul G. Casciaro, CIC, CSRM, President and Chief Executive Officer

Paul Casciaro has the honored distinction of being one of two representatives from the insurance industry chosen to the Ulster County Arson Task Force. He is on the Board of Directors of the Professional Insurance Agents Association (PIA) and is the Chairman of the Government Affairs Sub-Committee, a member of the Glenmont National Alliance Committee (GNAC) for Education and the current PIA of New York Treasurer. Paul is also currently a member of the New York Central Mutual Agents council, as well as the Utica National Customer Council. He is the former Board President of the Bardavon/Ulster Performing Arts Center, a Trustee of St. Mary's Benevolent Society, a member of the Ulster County Workforce Development Board and serves on the YMCA Pro-Am Golf Committee. Paul is also the past Co-Chairman of the Preferred Mutual Agents Council, former Co-Chairman of the Kingston City School District’s Facilities Committee and a past member of the Twaalfskill Golf Club Board of Governors. In addition, he has worked on the Benedictine Hospital Campaign for Cancer, the Ulster County Vietnam Veteran's Scholarship Fund and the annual WDST Christmas Party.

Paul started his insurance career in 1989 and holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.

Louis R. Casciaro, CSRM, Executive Vice-President

Louis, a graduate of Norwich University with a B.S. in Business Administration, joined the family business after he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as a Captain in 1985. He is Chairman of the Board of the YMCA of Ulster County, member of the Ulster County Underage Drinking Task Force, and member of the Board of Directors of the Hudson Valley Senior Residence. He is the past Chairman of the United Way of Ulster County and a former board member of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce.

Lou manages a large book of commercial accounts as well as investigating possible merger, acquisition and partnership opportunities.

Frank L. Casciaro, Jr., CIC, Chief Financial Officer/Information Technologies Manager

Frank brings many years of insurance, managerial and automation experience to The Reis Group. Entering the insurance business in 1983, he is a Certified Insurance Counselor(CIC), a Blue Ribbon graduate of the Aetna Home Office Insurance School, and a Certified NYS Insurance instructor for Bryant & Stratton. He serves as the public relations chairperson for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Frank handles the financial management as well as the information technology duties of The Reis Group.

Ronald G. Sleight, LUTCF, Senior Vice-President and Sales Manager

A graduate of the State University of New York, Ron has been in the insurance industry since 1961 with experience at both the company and agency levels. He is a graduate of the John Hancock Pension and Financial Planning School in Boston, MA and completed a two year course for his certificate as a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow(LUTCF). Ron is a past member of the Board of Directors of Gateway Industries and is the Past-President of the local chapter of Ducks Unlimited.

Ron oversees The Reis Group's sales team and manages a large book of commercial accounts representing all segments of insurance protection.

Steven A. Thornton, CPCU, CIC, Vice-President of Insurance Operations

Steve is a graduate of Siena College and attended graduate school at the State University of New York at Oneonta. Entering the insurance business in 1979, Steve holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations. He is currently an Elder at the Saugerties Reformed Church, a member of the Sons of the American Legion and is President and Chairman of the Board of Diaz Memorial Ambulance Service. Steve is also the Past Chairman of the Saugerties Village Historic Review Board and coached youth basketball and soccer in Saugerties for many years. He has had several articles published in various trade journals and was the insurance consultant to the Town of Saugerties during the Woodstock '94 Festival.

Steve oversees all internal agency operations and insurance carrier relations. He also handles a number of commercial and personal accounts.

Susan M. Horton, Saugerties Branch Manager

Entering the insurance business in 1986, Sue holds a New York State Property and Casualty License, as well as a Life and Health License. A lifelong resident of Saugerties, she is an active member of the Saugerties High School Athletic Booster Club.

Sue has managed the Saugerties office for a number of years and also works as a sales producer for the agency.

Scott Yerves, New Windsor Branch Manager

A graduate of Marist College, Scott started in the insurance industry in 1995. He holds a New York State Broker's license, as well as a Life and Health license. He has been active in the Wallkill Area Little League since 2004. Scott is a member of the Newburgh Chapter of the Hudson Valley BNI (Business Networking International) and serves on the Membership Committee.

Scott oversees the New Windsor office and works as a sales producer.
