One of our employees has been arrested—for a good cause!
On June 5, 2o13, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Damian D’Arpino on the charge of having a big heart. As a participant in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s “Lock-Up” fundraiser, Damian agreed to be “put behind bars for good”, raising donations to help the MDA to conduct lifesaving research and to provide valuable services to individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases.
As a Commercial Lines Account Manager fromThe Riverfront Insurance Agency in Watervliet NY (a member of The Reis Group), D’Arpino is well accustomed to serving the needs of our community members, and the Lock-Up experience fits right in with his philanthropic nature.
The donations from the Lock-Up program allow theMDA to fund necessary research, medical clinics, and accessible summer camp experiences. After spending some time “behind bars”, Damian was able to make “bail” (his donation goal) of $1,600.00—enough to send five children to summer camp whose families could not otherwise afford the cost.
Kudos to Damian for his work to support this worthy cause!
