In an original article by Bethany Bump, featured in the May 23, 2018 issue of the Times Union, Northern Rivers is recognized for breaking ground on a $10 million project. The organization is set to open a "one-stop shop crisis center" on Academy Road in Albany, NY, focusing on the needs of families in mental or emotional crisis.
The center, set to open in 2019, will offer all types of treatment services all in one place, such as psychological assessments, crisis stabilization, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, primary care, Medicaid care management, and, in the future, substance abuse treatment.
Check out the original article, linked above, for the full story about an amazing family who wanted to make a difference and is now realizing their dream with the help of Northern Rivers and Albany Medical Center.
Northern Rivers Family Services is an organization that The Reis Group is proud to support. In fact, the Branch Manager of our Watervliet office, John Malone serves on the Northern Rivers Board and on its Executive Committee. John even had the honor of participating in the May 22nd Behavioral Health Care Center groundbreaking ceremony (pictured far left).
